  16.           The program _i_m_a_g_e_t_o_p_s produces a printable PostScript
  17.           version of the image _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e on standard output.  It will
  18.           be able to read all image formats that the _p_s_f_i_l_e_t_y_p_e(1)
  19.           program labels as ``image'' or ``eps.''

  22.           The image is sized to fit into the Imageable Area of the
  23.           destination printer, determined by (in order of precedence):
  24.           1) a SETUP.PPD._u_s_e_r file in the current working directory,
  25.           2) a SETUP.PPD file in the current working directory,  3) a
  26.           _p_p_d file supplied via the ----PPPP option, or  4) a PRINTER.PPD
  27.           file in the current working directory.

  29.           The _m_o_d_e parameter affects how the image is fit onto the
  30.           page.  In ffffiiiitttt mode (which is the default), the image is
  31.           either grown or shrunk to fill the entire Imageable Area
  32.           while preserving its aspect ratio.  If _m_o_d_e is nnnnoooossssccccaaaalllleeee, the
  33.           image is not scaled at all, and is centered within the
  34.           Imageable Area.  In this case, if the image is larger than
  35.           the page, it will be cropped.  The only other valid _m_o_d_e is
  36.           sssshhhhrrrriiiinnnnkkkk, which is equivalent to nnnnoooossssccccaaaalllleeee if the image is
  37.           smaller than the Imageable Area, or ffffiiiitttt if the image is
  38.           larger than the Imageable Area.  The _m_o_d_e is set either from
  39.           the settings for _p_r_i_n_t_e_r or from the ----mmmm option, whichever
  40.           option is last on the command line.

  42.           The ----dddd option sets the debugging message mask to _d_b_l_e_v.  The
  43.           debugging mask is documented in _o_p_i_d_e_b_u_g(5).  Full debugging
  44.           can be enabled with the ----DDDD option.  By default, debug
  45.           messages go to standard error.  Any supplied _j_o_b_n_a_m_e is
  46.           placed in the PostScript header %%Title comment.  The _u_s_e_r
  47.           option is also placed in the PostScript header %%For
  48.           comment.  The ----pppp option gives the name of the print queue
  49.           for which this image is being converted.  The only thing
  50.           currently affected by this is the _m_o_d_e.
